I cannot stress enough how important it is for everyone to incorporate nutrient dense foods into their lifestyle. Nutrient dense foods are typically whole foods. Whole foods are foods you can pick off a plant, bush or tree and eat. They are foods that you pull out of the ground and eat. Enjoy a salad every day that includes all the colors of the rainbow. This will help you consume many different types of phytonutrients. Phytonutrients are only found in plant products and have been shown to have antiangiogenic properties which help in the prevention or treatment of cancer. A whole food, plant based diet has also been shown to stop heart disease and, in some cases, to reverse it as well!
